In 2011 the Enterprise was announced to have found a new home in the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York after being replaced by the Shuttle "Discovery" at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C.

The report includes clips from the launch at which all actors from TOS, except for William Shatner, were present in 1976.
